There are very good reasons to consider leasing, but let's take a look at some you may not have thought of.

You finance a car for 60 months and, for whatever reason, in 36 months you are ready for something else. At first, you think maybe you can sell your car until you realize you owe more than it's worth. So it's off to the dealer to try and work a trade and you end up burying all that negative equity into the next deal. And the cycle continues.

A lot of people have good intentions of paying off their car loan and keeping the car at least for the duration of the loan. Unfortunately, most people end up trying to get out of their loan early because they want a different car. Or they decide they want a lower payment so they refinance their current loan.

A vehicle broker is the bridge between manufacturers discount schemes, finance companies, supplying dealerships and you, the customer. Brokers translate any discount or volume related bonuses in to attractive finance rates enabling you to take advantage of some exceptional deals.

A good vehicle broker is an extra pair of hands. An established reputable broker should be able to save you valuable time and money by getting the right deal for you at the best price.


How can a broker save me time?

A vehicle broker can obtain rates from a huge pool of finance sources.

How can a broker save me money?

It's all about scale . If you were to place a small order for say, half a dozen of something you would expect to pay a fair price. If you were to place an order for a thousand of something, you would expect to get a discount.

The vehicle supply chain works very much in the same way.

The finance company or broker will be given discount terms with the manufacturer on the basis that they are committed to doing large volumes of business. This can apply to a specific model or across the range. This discount is applied to the vehicle and is then passed on to you the customer to enable the deal.


Who could benefit from using a vehicle Broker?

The short answer is anyone.

In the past the discounted rates were only available to business customers,

however, due to changes in vehicle taxation is has become more and more popular to

‘opt out' of the company car scheme. This has prompted many finance companies to open up deals to private users.


How will the broker supply my vehicle?

Once you have decided on the deal, subject to finance approval, your vehicle will be ordered with the finance company and supplying dealership. The vehicle will be delivered with the same warranty and after-sales service you would expect to receive from the manufacturer. The only difference is that you have VLO as a further point of contact should you require any further assistance.
